Arie Endrayanti started as a software developer and ended up in product. Product sits between a business and the technology underneath it, and somebody has to stand there. That has been her job for twenty-two years, under one title or another.
Today she is Chief Product Officer at a technology company in the entertainment industry, accountable for product and technology direction at executive level and reporting to the chief executive. She also runs a company making digital products (software, templates and subscription tools) and speaks professionally on artificial intelligence and on product.
Her own team is small, and she has spent the last two years finding out first-hand what AI tools are genuinely good for. Two years is the honest number, not a modest one. The organisations she builds for are not small at all, and most of what she writes about sits in the gap between those two vantage points.
Outside all of it she runs a foundation for traditional Indonesian dance, which has nothing to do with technology and is the better for it.
